Wutawieh yorlyi! Tork Norf’k? Cam look orn. Ai gwen naawi on Sae'di. Yesterday I went swimming for the first time on Norf'k Ailen, and I'm going morla. My previous three visits have been in August (twice) and in May. Too cold for swimming! Alison returned to Sydney yesterday and I feel more relaxed. My first planned trip ever with a friend proved to be really stressful but I can only make the next one better.
Norf’k Ailen is myse tintoela (my sweetheart) and the wetls (food) is guud (good), but I’m sad because my Norf’k Ailen flaeg tauwel (flag towel) is missing, therefore I have nothing to dry off with after naawi (swimming). I left it in the back of somebody’s car the other night when I hitchhiked home from the BBQ. A lovely day it was today at Emli Bieh (Emily Bay). Dem tull (they say) Emli Bieh is great for gwen naawi, and dem tull Norf'k Ailen is wonderful
Whilst I’m not fluent in Norf’k, I like to give a go as best I can. Every time I visit Norf’k Ailen, I fall in love even more and whatever time I spend here it’s never enough. Most of the time I’m catching up with guud salan (good people).
In the crystal clear waters of Emily Bay I swam and snorkeled with all my heart, catching up with Racheal, who loaned me her mask and snorkel. My favourite beach on the planet, it’s a magical place for a swim, a BBQ, meet up with friends, or practice your Norf’k. Thanks fe me and see ye morla.
