Trekking The Indian Himalayas in Support of UNICEF

INDIA | Sunday, 7 June 2009 | Views [845]

Hello everyone - we're at it again!

Apparently the roof of Africa at 5895m just isn't high enough!  So this year, to mark Emma's 40th birthday, we're going to spend 10 days trekking through the Indian Himalayas, and hope to reach the top of Stok Kangri at 6137m on the 21st July 2009.

It was fantastic that so many people sponsored us last year and Unicef were extremely grateful for the 1600 pounds we managed to raise. They put the money to very good use in Africa helping children, so we'd like to help and support them again this year.

We realise that the credit crunch has made spare cash a rare commodity but any donation, however small, makes a difference and is much appreciated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: UNICEF UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us by visiting our fundraising page.

We'll tell you all about it when we get back.

Thanks,                                                                                                             Emma and Steve
