Steve and Emma's Travel Tales

Road trip back to Bathurst

SOUTH AFRICA | Saturday, 26 September 2015 | Views [527]

After finally getting Emma's visa sorted we could head back to South Africa and we brought Emma's mum Joan along for her first visit to SA. We made a road trip of it back dowm from Jo'burg first stopping off at Merrick Safari near Kimberley. The main reason to go there is for the night drives and it did not disappoint. We saw 2 aardvarks which was incredible along with bat earred foxes, aardwolves, owls, and springhares galore. We also spent the night in a chalet in Mountain Zebra National park which is one of our favourites and enjoyed a couple of self-drive game drives. Time to do some work on Morley House.
