We took heaps of buses etc to get to a place called D&D's by the lake south of Peña Blanca. We travelled with an interesting american guy we had met at Omoa. D&D's is a micro-brewery and we thought it would be a fun place to stay as we could camp there. The girl in the office told us the price was 80 each to camp which is way too high so Carol went up the road and got a place to camp in the resort next door which is only open on the weekends. Later we met some guys travelling by motorbike who ended up camping at D&D's for 40 ea and discovered that there had been a misunderstanding. Lucky for us as where we were was lovely, in the woods by the river, and noone there but us.

We walked around the place which is very small and up into the hills which was beautiful and green and the ground covered with red impatiens.
We stayed two nights then the owners wife drove us into Peña Blanca where we tried without luck to hitch so ended up catching three buses to La Esperanza.
