    Ganges Views[280] Morning laundry. Btw, the Ganges is horribly dirty (sewage, chemicals, cremations, regular garbage etc). When we have our laundry to our hostel we asked 3 times how they would wash it! ;-) Views[340] Morning on the Ganges. Men bathing.     Lost in the alleys trying to find the river, again. Bumped into these kids. Unlike Latin America kids who speak no English except Back alleys of Varanasi near the river. Packed full of people (and cows and motorcycles) day and night. Views[261] Believe it or not, motorcycles and fat cows like these manage to pass each other in the narrow alleys of Varanasi. Views[270] They cause traffic jams, they poop everywhere, they eat garbage. :-( But they're holy! They appear to be homeless but they're not, the owners let them wander but milk them regularly.     Nous assistons à la fermeture de la frontière indo-pakistanaise en fin de journée. Il s'agit d'un show comme à la télé avec les cris, les applaudissements, la musique pop et traditionnelle, un monsieur au micro, même une batterie live.     Nous devons Foule de pèlerins au temple d'or à Amristar Views[200] Arrivée en tuk tuk à Amristar, ville majoritairement Sikh. Sikh typique avec son grand poignard à la ceinture. For 15 cents you can ride the rails! Most people hang out the windows for fresh air. They don't have a subway in Mumbai (btw, it's the biggest city in India with 20 million people) so millions take trains everyday. Be careful and don't miss your stop, normally you should jump off before otherwise the train is swarmed with dozens of sweaty men all jumping in for a spot. :-( Views[390]
     
    Cows in the streets of India. Traffic jams are nothing to get angry about in India, it's just part of life! People are much calmer than in NY! Luckily people enjoy getting their picture taken so the guy in the top was posing a bit. Views[364] These three young muslim sisters were riding on a scooter with their father and couldn't stop smiling at us. So we took their photo! And they smiled even more! In general people stare at us ... all the time! Especially children, but they smile and say hello and enjoy having their photo taken. Exact opposite of Latin America! It looks like a church cathedral! Gothic style with gargoyles.     Taking the local suburban train in Mumbai Views[234] Mumbai. Kurt in front of a cricket field and one of many beautiful Victorian style architecture buildings. It's like London ... except it's 45 degrees! Views[250] Mumbai. Men are very affectionate with each other in India. Yes, they even hold hands. Very cute for us but apparently there's nothing at all homosexual at all for them! And a red London double-decker bus! Feels like we're back in London!!! Views[266] Dabawallahs in Mumbai! Best you just read it on Wikipedia, bit tricky to explain. But I'll try anyways. 200,000 boxed lunches are hand delivered every day in Mumbai. For various reasons, men in Mumbai don't eat out for lunch nor do they bring a boxed lunch. Their wife cooks a hot meal and sends the lunch box via a delivery man - the dabbawallah. He takes the train downtown and then sorts the 200,000 lunches with his colleagues for delivery. No computers allowed!     Best part of Goa, the beaches? Nope! The scooters!! Rent them for 4$ per day and just hope it doesn't break down. ;-) Views[205] Beaches of Goa, we stayed in Anjuna which is famous for its flea market. Views[215] AC sleeper bus!     Nous avons participé au bain de l'éléphant d'un des temples de Hampi. Ça a duré plus d'une heure, il le nettoie à fond. Views[336] Indian style! ;-) hihi ...
