Shazza's Escapades Light hearted look at my travel escapades

Northern Ireland

UNITED KINGDOM | Sunday, 1 May 2016 | Views [168]

A quick bank holiday getaway. It was also during the Belfast marathon which I completely forgot about. It was nearly 20 years ago since my last trip to Northern Ireland and so much has changed. It is easier to explore Shankhill Road and take pictures without being scared of the locals. I took a bus ride to all the places that is now popular for tourists. The murals and grafittis seemed to be preserved now to show their history. The troubles from the past is written all over the walls. I even went back to the giant's causeway again. It is so touristy now and full of people. Back then not many people visited this part of the UK. Now the most populr tv show, the Game of Thrones film here on location and they take you on tours.
