Shazza's Escapades Light hearted look at my travel escapades

Aberystwyth a missed opportunity

UNITED KINGDOM | Saturday, 22 July 2017 | Views [236]

When I was 17 and failed most of my A' level exams, the University of Aberyswyth reached out and offered me a place. Me at that age was an angst ridden with a terrible childhood and wanted to run away from home. Home was Wales so I turned them down and went to Kingston. I didn't realise what a cute little coastal town this was. The university has to be the most beautiful building to study in after Oxford. The views of the coast and the castle and pier and harbour was also very beautiful. They have a short little tram that trundles up the hill for even more beautiful views of Aberyswyth. I walked up to save money and the views are breath taking. Don't forget Hinterland (a Welsh crime drama) was also filmed in this location. I wonder what my life would be like if I went to university here.
