we made it across iowa, nebraska, through colorado up to salt lake city and stopped at boise, idaho. Jessica and I arrived on June 12 spent a day re-arranging my new storage space, drove through the Sawtooth mountains (sort of) in the 1968 Porsche 912 with my parents in their 1979 Porsche 911SC and all their Porsche club buddies. Before Idaho we helped usher in a new union of love at my old friend Dave's wedding in Colorado, withstood a pissed off Iowa thunderstorm in our new tent(I felt like a pig-in-a-blanket), strolled the bridges of madison county, iowa, stayed with Jessica's friend Taylor in Denver (thanks Taylor), visited/said farewell to my best amigo Julio and his wife Linda in Salt Lake City (oh and Ruby) and ended up in Idaho.
Now we are handling the "business" of taking off and traveling the year including insurance, finding new friends on Couchsurfing.com and some wakeboarding with the "Bones" at Lucky Peak reservoir. Did I say business??? A little business and pleasure but we are taking care of things in the States. Jessica leaves on June 17 and I leave two days later. So here I am leaving for the world in four days, seems like I have been planning this forever. Now my life is changing in a big and exciting way for at least the next year. Bon voyage and farewell to all I will miss you. I wish you success in the next year and when you think of me send me good travel energy!
