FLORIDA MAY CLAIM ENDLESS SUMMER but Spring has sprung in Myrtle Beach. There are no swarms of college kids but April showers, blooming flowers, hopeful golfers and allergy-induced runny noses are sure signs of the season.

Connie was caught sans “brolly” in yesterday morning’s deluge and we had a few passing thunderstorms last night. I took advantage of a break in the weather to take photos of the azaleas, dogwoods and my favorite, wisteria.

The water is too cold for my taste and too chilly, I’m told, for good fishing. It should be too cold for swimming, too—but don’t tell the kids! While their folks were soaking up every photon of sunshine, the young’uns were building sandcastles or sprinting for the waves, boogieboards trailing kite-like behind.
