The gorgeous beachs of Phuket

The gorgeous beachs of Phuket

Training has been such a great experience - and not just because I lost so much weight!  I weigh in at 46Kgs now (101.4 pounds).  Sounds tiny but it is all great muscle too!

Briel is fighting fit now.  We realised just how much we missed training since being back and it breaks our hearts that we will be leaving.  Hopefully we can continue some training while we are travelling as we don't want to lose what we accomplished - AGAIN!

Our technique is getting better so fast.  The power that come with good technique is amazing - I am shocked at what I can kick now.  I still get a lot of bruises but in different locations.  Depends on what I have managed to build up.

I love this style - it is so graceful.  I want to continue this in the future.

What we love the most though is some of our trainers that we have gotten close to - particularly Rose and Nazee.  Rose nearly everyday scooters us home.  Moo is the silliest, while there are others just love to tease and play.  All a bit of a laugh while you are learning some great fighting.  Perfect combnation.  I can't wait till we plan our next vacation to do this again.

Nazee was the Thai champ at the age of 17.  he has been training for 23 years already and is only 29.  He wants us to send our kids to him so he can train them in the future - around the age of 6 or 7 is good he thinks to start.  COOL - I wanna do that!

We spent our last afternoon at the beach with Taya and Gerrit.  Had a ball body surfing.  We took a scooter for the day (200 baht) - good we only did this at the end - if we had one from the start like the other people at the training camp we probably would have spent alot more time on the gorgeous beaches and markets than in training.  hehe

There is alot of great markets and night markets in Phuket and Chalong (where we stayed).  We had one walking distance from us so we would buy vegies and stuff there regularly.  We would LOVE the street food from the markets.  Delicious coconut pancakes, sweet rice porridges, bubble tea drinks, the BBQ chickens  YUMMY.  All for pretty cheap too.

I bought 2 Thai hippy pants for 100 baht each (2 EUR) - and I wear them everywhere! haha

Ciao for now....
