Manly beach

Manly beach

Long time no write... I know... So here is a summery of our 3 week stay.

Week 1 - Lots of running around for visas for India helping around the house of Shell and Gez (they moved in to their new house and still had some things to finish up before all their guests arrived for the big event!).  Spent a crazy few days totally Aussie style with ANZAC day and beers.  They are proud of Briel and his new drinking ability.  Met some great new mates Naiomi and Mick.  Awesome couple.  Oh and Shelly and I painted her kitchen rainbow colours.  FUNNY FUNNY

My hihglight ofcourse was meeting my sister's new baby girl--> Jordan-Ivy

What a precious little thing she is.  I loved her so much.  The little soll has some many little traits that is my sisters, mine and ofcourse her fathers side - that I really wonder how much of our habits or personality is genetic and how much is really learned.  I don't know anymore after seeing it for myself.

Week 2- Pere and Rene arrived.  Where we took them immediately to YUM CHA.  The best ever!  This is where Shell and I formed our great friendship haha so it has to be the best.  And indeed everyone had a ball eating the lobster, shrimps, crab, steamed dim sums... wow...  We then spent some days showing the usual-->

Sydney Sky Tower, Bondi, Manly, Coogee, Bronte beaches.  We ate the best chicken burger ever in Bondi beach. Briel's comment was he was amazed at how beautiful and clean the beaches were.  They were stunning.  I have only appreaciated them after travelling the world and seeing just how lucky Australians are and how much we take for granted.  He also saw how crazy the waves are in Oz... haha that was a bit of a shock for him I think.

We took my Granmother with us to Featherdale national park.  She has such a great time with us there.  We all did feeding the Kangaroos, touching koalas and seeing the natural wild life walking aorund free with us.  With the exception of Dingos - which are vicous in the wild.  Although very gorgeous - they almost look like golden house dogs.

The highlight this week was Shell's and Gerry's wonderful wedding.  What an event that was.  I was happy to be a part in her big day.  It made me laugh to see her in typical style (giggling with Gez while the priest was saying serious stuff...) She looked stunning.  Gez looked every so cool in his purple velvet jacket and cool shirt.  Gerry made the decorations himself.  The whole evet was special and magic.  The caravan park party after the reception was awesome.  We totally were trashed from that.  It was a typical Aussies style wedding - lots of fun and lots of drinks...  Seeing old friends, new ones...  Then we spent a few days up at her new place - WE ALL did!  30 people tenting in the backyard and around the house. haha

Week 3- We checked out the Hunter Valley and the great wines there. I was the designated driver so it was funny to be totally sober with the others not so sober in the drive.  W went to the Blue Mountains, 3 Sisters, Jeonolan Caves.  Pere, Rene, Briel LOVED the caves.  It really is the most wonderful caves I have ever seen.  They agreed.

We then said our sad farewells to our family and friends.  It is always hard to leave.  It was especially hard to say goodbye to my Grandmother wjo also had to leave to go back to the Philippines.  Due to paper work and official rules she still has 5 yers to wait before she can stay permanently.  It was a sad time for the family.  SHe is getting older and we worry about ehr being alone now.

Pere and Rene left Australia on a flight 30 min before us.  All bound for Thailand!  That at  least then feels like we still have family around.

Check out the pics I posted.  Ciao for now.
