Well sorry for the lack of news! We had no access the last 2 weeks.... In any case HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!!!!!
We wish for everyone a wonderful new year ahead! We had a full, crazy and happy 2007 and I hope for even better for everyone for this new year!
After a few days partying and getting to know the friends/family here in Tabatinga, we got to say hello to 2008 from Goli,a mothers apartment! We all had a great dinner fully catered with delicious shrimps, steaks, pastas, deserts.. and drinks which didn,t stop flowing all night long.
As we all stood on the balcony to welcome 2008, we all held loved ones close as we saw a stunning fireworks show just on our local beach.
We then headed down to the beach to do the traditional jumping of 7 waves for luck. Most everyone was wearing white, which is a symbol requesting for personal peace for the year to come.
There are other colors too which have meaning: red-passion, pink-love, yellow-fortune, green-luck, blue-health. Each person can choose what they request for the year to come.
We danced on the beach so sometimes great music/sometimes terrible music... haha till 5am. The drinks didn't stop, the laughs also.
There were a few dramas which made for a soap opera, but all in all - one of our favourite New Years!

Oh we wore special shirts which said: If money doesn't bring you happiness, then fine give me all your money and be happy!
