Not much news

AUSTRALIA | Friday, 22 January 2010 | Views [520] | Comments [1]

Well not too much has happend since I last wrote to you all. We did spend a good 5 hrs in a bog on day trying to get the car out ! i thought we could get through it, but turns out we couldn't ! Ended up getting pulled out. Wed haven't had any rain so the place is starting to dry up again - all the grass is green, but the ground is hard. We had a couple staying at Carsland "farm sitting" while Mark & Chelsea were away. They have now left, but we did go over and see them a few times and took them to mary Kathleen Mine. It's an abandoned uranium mine that Me Andy & Mel went too a couple of years ago. There is more water in it now, and it is still as blue as ever ! I think the colour comes from copper rather than uranium, but we still didn't go for a swim !! It is Australial day on 26th January so in preperation I have taken down the England flag I have flying at the quarters and put up an Australian flag ! It will come down again next week. Not really any other news at the moment, but take a look at my 2010 pictures for the latest views around the place. Hope all is well and a little warmer back home love Ed xx

Hi Ed & Charlie
Really enjoyed your update and the photographs. The quarters certainly look smarter these days and I reckon Charlie is a good influence on you - well done Charlie. I like your marking of Australia Day - will you be doing anything special to celebrate the occasion?
Yes it is warmer here in UK but for how long we are not too sure.
We continue to be busy here at The Croft - it has been one way of keeping warm whilst the weather was so very cold.
We are off to The Suts this weekend so looking forward to that. Then next week we are spending the day in Wetherby house hunting and Shirley & Charles have invited us for a meal so that will be nice. A change from being surrounded by endless boxes and bubble wrap.
Hope all is well with you both and that you continue to have fun. Take good care of each other.
Lots of love Mum & Dad xxx
