Well we left Rocky on Wed morning after a pretty heavy night on Tuesday and we drove through to Longreach - a small town known as the 'Gateway to the Outback'. It is the home of the 'Stockmans Hall of Fame' which is a very interesting museum dedicated to Australian Outback Life. We left Longreach this morning and drove through a hell of a lot of nothing and the green gradually turned into brown. We arrived in Cloncurry for lunch and from there we headed north towards Quamby and Jessievale (The Station where Ed has been working) - we stopped for a stubbie at the famous Quamby Hotel before hitting the road again. We stopped briefly at a disused Uranium Mine which was about a half hour walk in the searing heat - but it was well worth it and pretty spectacular to see. We have now arrived in Mt Isa which is a small town dominated by a massive mine. A quiet night in tonight!!! Before we head onto Tennant Creek tomorrow. From there we will head South to Alice Springs and Ayers Rock. Well that's about all for now but we'll be in touch again soon. Love to you all - Ed, Andy & Mel -x-x-x-
