Travel is in my blood and in my genes. I have lived in the UK and in Argentina when I was younger and have travelled through Europe, South America, North America, South Africa and parts of Asia. Now my chidren are grown I have rediscovered the joy of "being on the road". I've now been to 90 countries from the TCC (Traveler's Century Club) list and hope to get to the magic 100.
I began this blog in 2009 as a way of keeping in touch with family and friends while I travelled, and to allow them to follow my progress. Most of the posts since have been done on the road, although for some of the shorter trips - some Cruises and the Ghan, for example, I summarized the trip afterwards, for the record. In recent times I have been updating the trips done between 2005 - when I reinvented myself again as a traveller, and 2009, with edited versions of my detailed journals. The travel I did when I was younger, between 1968 and 1973 is recorded elsewhere.
I love travel. And, at the end of each trip, I love coming back home.
