AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaGH!!!!
Not nice to swear - so just comment that I have arrived in a Muslim country and it is Bayram for 3 days, their equivalent of Christmas or Easter. Apart from the restaurants which are heaving with locals celebrating the end of Ramazan and the fast and the carpet shops and tourist hangouts, the official places of business and THE IRANIAN CONSULATE are closed for at least three days.
So, no picking up my visa here and then getting around Turkey (which is huge - I had no idea) and nipping up to see Georgia and such, just Istanbul for the foreseeable future. (They do it on purpose you know.)
