Dust

KENYA | Wednesday, 30 October 2002 | Views [538]

We’re on our way back to Mombasa and my clothes, hair and shoes are caked with dust, my face is a nice mud pack, and I can feel grit in my teeth, but I’ve never been happier.  I saw elephants, zebras, warthogs, dik diks, bushbucks, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes, gazelle, elands, wildebeests, water buffalo, crocodiles, hyenas, baboons, a tawny eagle, guinea birds, blue starlings, foxes, gerenuks, ostriches, impalas, agama lizards, flamingoes, and lions!  Dust is of little consequence when so many wonderful memories are a part of that dust.
