A Very Grinchy Christmas

I'm a happy Grinch

I'm a happy Grinch

WE CELEBRATED CHRISTMAS LIKE NORMAL FOLKS for the first time in years. We shared a delicious meal in the company of friends, quaffed a wassail or two and shared stories, both old and new. We didn’t exchange gifts or sing carols but Nick and Peggy wore festive sweaters.

              Nick, Peggy and Paul

Nick and Peggy are friends of Paul’s whom we had met a few years ago. They recently moved from his neighborhood in Gold Canyon to their new digs in the old mining town of Superior. This is their “other house,” their main residence being in Show Low Arizona, 130 miles from and a 3500 feet higher than Superior.

                Christmas Cookie

Paul concocted his soon-to-be-famous crockpot turkey-breast and Norrine’s Quiche, Connie prepared the turkey gravy while Nick and Peggy took care of the veggies and spuds. We capped the evening with yet another viewing of It's a Wonderful Life.

And John was a happy Grinch!
