Honeymooners We travel, we see sights of awe. Home is where the heart is. My heart is with Briel.

When it rains it pours!

Be prepared for the tropical sudden turns of weather in the early summer.  It can be 28C in the morning and all day, then it is common that the late afternoon/early evening turns nasty very quick to have strong crazy storms!

We got caught in such a sudden change and although we were only 2 blocks away from home, we arrived dripping as if we fell into a pool!

Expect sudden lighting, quick change from blue skies, to the boom of lighting with rain drops so big it almost stings as it falls against your skin.  From inside it is quite pretty, plus it feels and sounds like your at the Niagra Falls - heavy, deep and powerful.

It can hail to  - as it is right now! As I write, our balcony is being filled with marble sized hail stones!  However as quickly as this arrives, it can go to.  So if you get caught wait it out in a cafe. Rather than trying to run home liek us. hehe it should only last around 1 hour before you see the relaxing skies of blue.

Another tip for Brazil at this time of the year, stock up on your mosquito repellent.  Briel and I are like candy here for them!  Even when we do apply it!

Ciao for now!  Tonight we are off for a helicopter ride over the city by night.  I can't wait!
