enormous contribution to humanity in his quest to right the inequalities of our
social systems.

Senor da Malta hospital
(lavandaria): the laundry sink where Ernesto Che Guevara's body was laid out
for two days after his death
Museum of Che: covered the
history of Che and his path to the revolution as well as his childhood and his
motorcycle trip throughout South America.
La Fosa Guerrilleros :
Guerrilla fighters had been secretly buried in a common grave nearby, among
whom the only female guerrilla fighter, Tania. The burial site is nowadays
referred to as La Fosa de Tania, or La Fosa Guerrilleros, and features
commemoration plaques for the deceased
Che Memorial: A grave and
memorial site surrounded by black and white pictures of Che Guevera from his
birth to his death.
Che’s capture sight:
contains a big star at the location of his capture.
Central Plaza of La
Higuera: features an amalgam of statues, commemoration plaques
and graffiti declaring loyalty to Che. The village walls are covered with
quotes from the bearded icon, such as "Podrán morir las personas pero
jamás sus ideas" ["people will die but their ideas never
will"]. Adjacent to the plaza is the old school building where Che Guevara
and his men were held captive for one day before they were executed. The school
features a small museum with pictures and paraphernalia.

guy and girl from Madrid, we did the tour to La Higuera with them, extremely
friendly, they worked as social workers, but they lost their jobs due to the
recession,

Taxi driver: made these
funny sounds that made pigs run away and somehow made the cows move off the
road.
