Decided to break the journey from Dunedin to Christchurch with a stop in Lake Tekapo for 3 nights. I am staying at the Lakeside hostel which is set in a fantastic location overlooking the lake. On the first night we had a Magic Bus BBQ which was a good night for all concerned. Have spent some time walking the surrounding hills which gave impressive views across the amazingly coloured lake. Its not a bad life this travelling - waking up to stunning views and meeting some fantastic people along the way. Talking of meeting people - there was a girl in the hostel who lives about 10 miles from me at home and even went to the same high school!
