Connect through Atlanta, GA and Seoul, Korea

Arrive in Viet Nam: Dec. 30, 10:30 pm at Hanoi, Viet Nam

25 hour flight = 40 hours due to time zone changes

Tentative In-Country Itinerary:Dec 30 - Jan 3: HanoiJan 4 - 5: Thai Nguyen to visit an English teacher and her class, and a professor of literature (specifically, folklore!)Jan 6: Bus to Hanoi, overnight train to Hue
Jan 7 - 9
: Hue: Wander around in the rain, visit with English teachers, DMZ tour
Jan 10 - 11
: Hoi An (small town south of Da Nang on the coast)
Jan 12 - 15
: Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City): meet with some Vietnamese students, Cu Chi, Mekong River, Cat Tien National Park trek?
Jan 15 or 16
: Fly to Hanoi
Jan 16 - 18
: Hanoi (shopping!), day or overnight trip to Sapa (tribal area in the far north)?

Depart Viet Nam:
Jan. 19, 12:30 AM (yes, AM) from Hanoi
Connect through Seoul, Korea and Chicago, IL

Arrive Home:
Jan. 19, 12:00 noon at Madison, WI (or 10:30 am at Chicago if I can convince the 'rents to brave O'Hare traffic)

25 hour flight = 10 or 12 hours due to time zone change
