My super boring journal I would like some more pressed duck.

I'll tidy up a bit before you move in

Howdy all,

How is everyone going? I have had a very busy weekend! We needed to find a place to live and I also needed a car. I was determined to find both by Saturdays. On Friday night we started looking at apartments. The first one we went to was in a really dodgy part of town. We knocked on the door and the guy came out of the most filthy looking flat Ever. He had most of his front teeth missing and was smoking a cigarette the whole time. He took us up a filthy stairwell all the while reassuring us that this will al be cleaned up. It reminded me of one of those movies where the police are walking up o the really bad place where the dead body is. When we got to “our” apartment there was graffiti on the door. As the door opened you could see this GIANT hole in the wall. Suffice to say we did not take that one.

On Saturday we went to look at a place in a very area. It is a big old white house that has been converted into a number of different apartments. It is close to the centre of the city but far enough away from the bad part of town. The one we looked at was on the 3rd (top) floor. It had slanted roofs and was nice and clean. It has a balcony and everything. We applied for this one. We are pretty sure we have it. The lady just has to reference check and we’ll see what happens from there! It should be good.

I also bought a car. It is not a heap thought it was fairly cheap. It is a 1994 Hyandai Excel. 145000KM, White, manual, very neat and clean inside. A bit ratty looking on the outside. I went through dads checklist he gave me and it passed everything. I should get it in a few days.

I am STILL looking for a job. It is getting a little frustrating. I would dearly just love to work checkout at a supermarket. I need a job by the beginning of febuary AT THE LATEST.

I got Melissas card and Helens gift on Sunday. Thank you both very much. Helen we both liked the necklaces. I opened it up in front of Jane Anns 2 year old nephew (who was helping to unwrap). One of the bracelets fell out. He picked it up and I said “Susans bracelet.” He said “No, Davids”. He found the other two in the bag and spent the rest of the day wearing three braclets on his left hand. It was very cute. I got them back off him though, when his back was turned. Ha Ha Ha hahahahahahaha

Anyway,  This will be a big week because we both have to find stuff (furniture and that) Cos neither of us has ANYTHING! Wish us luck.

Hope you are all well and enjoying summertime.

Don't consider that people are going overboard vying for my attention. The squecky wheel gets the grease.

Grease me up sister. Tim has gone to India (eventually), and I am walking the streets, hoping to find someone that I could mould into his image... Lucky Mel is back to bring order and sanity. AND NOW, ANOTHER CHUZZLEWITTINGLY PIST of Simon's Top Ten List of Things You Can Do With The Most Filthy Flat EVER- 1.Clean it 2.Like you suggested, you could rent it out to the makers of CSI. 3.Or Saw. 4.Or Home Makeover. 5.Graffiti is so hot right now. Put your door in an art gallery. 6.Use the hole as a convenient drive-through window for your drug running. 7.When you find the dead body, there are bound to be viruses and diseases that science has not discovered yet. Sell them to biology researchers. Or international terrorists. 8.Tell the street kids in the kitchen cupboard that they can stay if they start a lucrative pickpocketing gang. 9.Rent it out yourself to Hollywood and music celebrities who want to get back to their 'real' roots. 10.Not rent it.

Hey sue. Dad seems very suspicious of your new car. He also wants to know how come youve got stuff people sent you already and we dont. Do you remember that wrestling video that had all the wrestlers dressed like West Side Story? Well, we got it out and there was a whole West Side Story theme in it and there was a showdown between Raw and Smackdown. It was very funny.

hey hey suzie, my moneys on simon for the best commenter, he seems to be going all out in the last couple of comments! so i'm back, from singapore! it was really good, i forgot how much i liked travelling, it's given me a thirst for more. when tim left for india, i told him to look out for me on the telly, yes i am now a star of stage & screen! well sort of, in singapore they have this ride called the reverse bungy, me & nicole were sitting near it & this lady came up & asked us to go on it with her, cause it seats 3 people. she was a host of an indian travel program (think getaway), we had to go on it twice & do an interview. well the ride is pretty intense & twice in 10 minutes isn't recommended, so melissa threw up the 2nd time & it was my birthday, but i got a free t-shirt, nicole got a free dvd of the rides & whats life without a few adventures! i would definately recommend singapore, it's a good place to go on your way back from somewhere, to relax & unwind. catchya later,
