“Turn out” for Earth hour!

We joined thousands last night, Sat. March 29th at 8pm (local time) for “Earth Hour 2008.”  This was a global event in towns and cities worldwide as a call for action on climate change.  People turned off their lights–to make a statement, to help find new ways to reduce their impact on the environment, and to start a movement that supports finding solutions to the common challenge we all face.  Check out this web site on Earth hour: http://www12.earthhourus.org/

After we turned off all lights, TV, power strips to the computers, etc., we lit candles & read - using camping headlamps, while enjoying our fireplace and the peace & quiet that comes with evening hours.  It was wonderfully relaxing!  We loved it so much that we want to make it a weekly habit!  Give it a try!
