The worlds most Southern Starbucks and up to Mt Cook

The proof...we are very sad.
So who in their right mind adds several hundred km's of driving to their journey just so they can visit Starbucks!? When Tony heard that the one in Invercargill was the worlds most Southern Starbucks his eyes lit up. He was willing to get on a bus and take the 5 hour return journey while i went to Milford sound! How could i disappoint someone who is so obviously demented - he might beat-me-up in a latte deficient craze.
Eventually we reach the Mt Cook area. Aoraki is NZ's and Australasia's highest mountain at 3755m and apparently look spectacular. I wouldn't know as it was always covered in cloud when we were there. Our little trip becomes 2 days of chilling, eating and being chased by bulls. (I swear it was a bull and not a cow, and that it was evil).
We'd hoped to do a few walks in the area, but the rain my laziness, our very busy past few weeks and a few drinks mean we don't get around to it. Our highlight is going to the nearby town of Twizel, for petrol and the essentials like coffee and cake. It's Tony's first attempt of driving the car - automatic transmission and indicators the wrong way around. I couldn't help laughing - this was revenge for when i was bombed by bird poo. Over the next two days he has a couple of tries and all i can say is that it's a good job there aren't too many cars about. Putting the wipers on instead of the indicators, then indicating the wrong way, while at the same time braking with your left foot, putting the car into neutral, flapping your arms around madly and discovering the car still has the handbrake on - hilarious.
A good couple of days. I can still see that Bull looking at us ready to charge - I'm not sure who would have run quicker - Tony or I. there's me saying show no fear and at the same time panning it and get ready to run.
