This cute little town along a lake thrives in the winter as one of Argentina's premier ski villages which itself looks very Swiss, with fancy (and very touristy) chocolate and ice cream shops everywhere you look. We did a nice hike on the outskirts of town and drove round the lakes region in a hire car for the day with 2 other friends. Although not winter yet, the weather there and wind chill was particularly cold.
