Day 28: A quiet and queasy day in Jaisalmer

INDIA | Monday, 3 December 2007 | Views [711]

Monday 3rd December

The night had been long and uncomfortable, but I was well enough to get up the next morning and see what Jaisalmer had to offer during the daytime. I had booked to go on a camel safari the next day, and would be moving on the day after that, so didn't have any other time to see the sights. Although the fort is impressive, there's not much too it and the town itself is quite small, so I headed back to the hotel to read and relax for the rest of the day.

I got talking to an Aussie guy who had just finished the book I was reading, and we chatted about travelling, music, sport and generally had a good laugh. It had been a quiet day, but by the end of it I felt much better and the idea of going on the camel trek didn't seem as much of a daunting prospect as it had earlier in the day.
