Where in the world is Lani?

Once upon a time, on a sunny Brazilian day, a 5ft Australian gal set off to travel to the northern beaches of Santa Catarina Island in Florianopolis, Brazil. On advice from the locals, the journey seemed like an easy way to visit some of the best beaches here in Floripa and not too difficult a task.

What should have taken 3 buses at maximum (in a perfect world), actually turned into a nightmare, and ended up taking the vertically challenged Aussie gal 10 buses and many hours. Perhaps it was the lack of Portugese she spoke, perhaps it was her gringa style or perhaps it was just bad luck.... who knows!?!

At any rate, the Aussie gal had a great day - visiting the northern beaches of Floripa - called Juerê International and Canavieses. They were beautiful and definitely worth the travel time. Along the way, she practiced her portugese with the locals, met many people and saw much more of the island than she would have if she went more directly.

The moral of the story.... never assume that anything is as easy as it seems, but often the most difficult things can be wonderful!
