Day 63 - On top of the world

For some reason I needed to make my last day in Ecuador memorable, so I decided to spend the day as far up a mountain as possible.
I had been staring at a massive cable car that spanned a neraby mountain for a week so I took the cable car up to the top - here they call cable cars `telefericos´.
The top is 4.050 meters high and up there I found a series of paths and viewing-points that they will allowed me to enjoy a spectacular panoramic sight of the city of Quito, bordering valleys, Andean landscapes, mountains, snow-capped mountains and the oriental mountain chain, everything in an environment of magnificent natural beauty.
I stayed for a few hours, just walking, thinking, walking, thinking and then having a coffee and wandering down to catch the teleferico down to the ground station.
What a wonderful way to spend my last few hours in Quito, Ecuador which has been such a lovely place to spend my time.
Onto Brazil................
