Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christamas Tree

Hi y'all,

Christmas has been and gone. I have had a bit of a cold so I haven't been super well. On Christmas day I got up at about 10.30. Jane Anns family aren't having gift exchange until Jan 20, so there ws no one around opening presents. We had a hot meal which was different. Also, we didn't have plum pudding which was different. Generally, Christmas and Boxing Day seem to be pretty much the same as Australia. People sit around, talk eat and watch tv. That is my type of holiday.

Some of the snow has melted a little bit. There are some patches of greenery. That is kind of cool because I can see that there is grass underneath the snow. At Jane Anns parents house they have a fruit cellar in the basement. That is a cool room for putting all kinds of things in there that need to stay cool.

UMMM.... I think my sickness and my lack of physicality have made me have a small amount to tell you. The next entry will be better.

The winter olympic start soon. They have all of the olympic gear for sale at the department stores. It is quite expensive though. Peple are excited about it though.

Hey Sue good to hear that you didn't have to stray too far from the traditional christmas day you know and love of sitting around eating and talking, you were however missing the fighting and screaming. Me and Eb bought suit cases to take to europe cos they were half price, we got different ones, mine is one litre bigger. We are going to knit scafs too. I tried to convince mum to create her own online journal, but she was oddly strongly opposed to the idea and said she didn't want people reading her opinions, it seemed to me that she would have liked nothing better than for people to have total access to her crazy ideas, oh well. Make some more snow people before the snow melts - Love Helen

Hello Sueeeee, Missed you at our Christmas do this year. We didn't do secret santa this time, because we thought it would be too hard without you. Instead we had a regifting party, where you bring a chrissy gift you got that you didn't like (not something someone special or important gave you, just cruddy little gifts like work gifts) & make someone else take it home! It was fun, i took soap, which i'm alergic to & got a beatles vid, so i was happy. We also recycled leftovers from the day before. We would like to ring you sometime, at the moment the best day is new years day a bit before 1am in the morning for us & i think 12pm new years eve for you. Is that doable? What do the canadians do for new year? What are you doing? Hopefully talk to you soon,
