Well, I've made it to Steven's Pass, Washington. Less than 200 miles to go. Washington has been challenging, to say the least. The weather turned to rain, snow and hail a few days into washington and I experienced one of the most challenging days of my life. I passed through Rainier NP without seeing anything and walked 36 miles without stopping to arrive at a cabin I knew would have warmth. There have been some spectacular views when the weather turns, however.
I am in Baring, Washington, less than 200 miles from the finish. I caught up to some friends here, and look forward to finishing possibly on the 19th. Part of me is sad to be away from the trail, the community I've formed, the beautiful experience of being on the trail. But the other part of me is excited to have accomplished such a feat and to have realized a dream.
I'll write more when I finish!
