Eben-ezer Farm (Farm #7)

I spent 5 days on a cattle farm with the Lauridsen family, 11 kids (8 at home). My jobs were to help herd cattle, wash windows, garden, etc. The Lauridsen's were refreshing to be with. Encouraging conversations, hearty meals, hours of playing games with the kids. One night Sarah, the 16-year-old, took me to one of the caves on their property and there were glow worms. They looked like little stars. We sat in the dark glowing cave and I told her horror bear stories. This was probably the most beautiful farm I've been on with rolling hills, Mt. Taranaki in the distance.
