Is there wind underwater?

Today we are meant to have our first two open water dives but the weather isnt co-operating and even though it's blue skies, we're told its too windy to SCUBA. What??? It doesn't even look very windy. How does the wind effect us under the water anyway? Dammit! Now we'll have to spend the day relaxing on the beach. Life is cruel.
Later, while doing our usual checking of emails and me checking out the football scores, Alicia spots a breaking news story about some kind of flu they think is in Mexico. Ignore it.
The next day comes with less windy weather and although we're still restricted in the places we can dive, there are a couple of sites that'll allow us to get our first open water dives under our belts. The dives go well and on top of that we pass our tests so we're getting closer to our PADI licenses. Wahoo! Two more dives tomorrow and we'll be qualified.
More news about this flu thing. Something to do with pigs? Whatever.
