Time to leave la ciudad de Mexico.
We have decided our route around Mexico will start in Cancun, and then we'll make our way back through the various sights before flying out of Mexico City in four weeks time. There's loads to see, including Chichen Itza - one for the new seven wonders of the world.
We jump on a cheapo Mexican airline flight to Cancun, and go straight to the ferry for Isla Mujeres. This is a small island just off the coast, recommended by Alicia's parents, who came here only a couple of months ago. As we approach on the ferry, we see the beautiful beaches, crystal clear azure water and know we're going to enjoy our time here.
