Hey all! I'm Maria - 25 year old Chicago native, penn state grad, and on-hold tech consultant. In January 2017, I tried to quit my job with IBM to take some time to travel. Instead, I got the coolest deal and was offered a leave of absence. I'll rejoin corporate America in fall 2017 but until then I am wandering through SE Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and wherever else I end up. Mark (my boyfriend), quit his job in August 2016 and spent some time in South America last fall. He thinks I followed him here but I really have wanted to do this for a while - he just made me speed up the timeline a bit :) So, this is my/our blog!
