Sunday 22nd June
One of the tastiest games of Euro 2008 was on this morning: Holland versus Russia. Both teams were young, gifted and had played some of the best football of the tournament. It was a decent game and the Russians caused an upset by deservedly beating the heavily fancied Dutch by a score of 3-1.
As it was a Sunday, it became a very lazy day around Bamber House. Some people were nursing hangovers while I just wanted to take some time to relax and not go anywhere. Fortunately, Bamber House is very conducive to lounging, so I sat in front of the TV for a few hours, and even dozed off in a comfy seat in front of a proper log fire for an hour or two. It was nice to be somewhere so comfortable.
I didn't go anywhere for the whole day, just hung out, did some emailing and other stuff on the internet, and chatted to some of the guys. It was good to sit still for a day, and it really felt like aproper Sunday, and it was a nice feeling that I hadn't had in quite a long time.
