Day 134: A relaxing day in Siem Reap

CAMBODIA | Tuesday, 18 March 2008 | Views [591]

Tuesday 18th March

It felt good to get another lie-in and we met for breakfast at 10.30. Thankfully, Maria felt much better than the day before, so we took a walk into town. Maria did some shopping and managed to get a few bargains in the market before we sat down to a relaxing lunch at a chilled out Khmer restaurant. We spent a few hours at the Blue Pumpkin, slobbing out on the large comfy seats which were covered in white sheets and looked to me like one long hospital bed. We met Rory later in the evening for a few drinks and a pizza before heading back to the hotel for an early night. I hadn't slept too well over the previous couple of nights so needed to get some rest ahead of an early-ish start the next morning, and an onward bus journey south to the town of Battambang.
