Iguana in the museum

Iguana in the museum

From Chiang Mai to Ayuthaya with the night train (you would never know it was 2nd class with all the clean sheets and the friendly service).

With a local bus from Ayuthaya to Kanchanaburi the town on the river Kwai.

All together it keeps getting hotter, but today a nice thunderstorm cooled us all off.....

Taking buses and trains and renting bikes locally to get around, is just the thing to do (why didn't I think of that earlier...)

Good thing we didn't bring the bikes, good thing we don't bike long distance in this bad air and heat. The drivers are crazy, the circumstances are shaky.

My stomach is acting up for many reasons - one of which is probably the local food, even though it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO incredibly good!

The local markets are fun, fun, fun - the stuff we eat sometimes.........but it all tastes so good!
