Chinese New Year

Having a lye in today was such a good idea... haha. I wana hire a bike though and venture around get bus tickets and that..

I get a cycle from reception and head over to the bus terminal, was quite easy to find.. There are 2 options 1 in the morning to Vang Vien VIP bus at 09:30- not sure the boys would be keen on getting up.. orrr an arvo bus at 14:00 on a public bus.. pretty much the same price, but I don't wana presume anything and decide to check with the boys 1st. On the way back I cycle past Dom & Mike who are on the way to the pool- SOUNDS PERFECT its bloody boiling.. On the way upstairs I bump in Frans, then Stijn and tell them if they fancy it to meet us down there later.

THE POOL IS AMAZING.. aaaaargh and its sooo hot, and there is a bar, a bar in the pool, slide, tubes.. and clear water.. mmmmmm.. Bump into the Dutch girls from back in Chaing Kong, and have a little chat with them for awhile.

End up having a beer, reading some of my book, having some food- and Frans & Stijn even turn up for a bit which was nice.. Before too long though I just gotta have some aircon/fan its too much sun for today- On the way back though I cycle via the bus station and get our VIP morning tickets after talking with the guys- we went on that, seeing as there is a toilet on aswell.. haha

Get back to the hostel, sit in bed reading and some new guys come in.. A guy form South London, a Dutch girl and another chick who didn't speak much- Have a little natter with them, they've just got off the slow boat, kinda nice to see some new faces.. And before long the guys come back from the pool.. we decided to get some market food tonight, so we get ready as usual and head on down to meet the others.

HHHHHMMM I do like my market food, but this was nasty.. We couldn't all even sit at the same table- and once the Sweedish girl came to the table there wasn't enough room, so I sat on Dom's lap so she could eat with no thankyous nothing.. Can't stand her and her sour face and whinging all the time, and I mean, damn.. I like to whinge but this is something else! we end up going to Utopia which is a bar here in Luang PRabang and its amazing.. Like a little hippy teepee with floor cusions and live music with drums and steel pans.. Its blissful and I even treat myself to some wine.. yuuum.. At the end of the night however Stijn, Frans & I weren't in the mood for anything else and walked home, the long way round but enjoyed a good convosation about the Dutch carnival that I really wana go to sometime, sounds awesome:) Dom ended up going back to Mike's hostel as he's hoping to get a root ;-) tee hee

When we get back to the hostel its just in time for the countdown of Chinese NY and Frans drunkinly gets up and huges the man in recpetion and convinces him (very easily) to set off fireworks... at 12am haha..

Poor guy is either too old or stupid cos he sets of a fire work that comes directly onto the porch of the hostel making me scream outta the way and jump inside as pink bolts of fire come towards me, hahaha.. Some Irish lads weren't too impressed by this and we're cursing to themselfs about the danger of it, hahaha... They continue to set them off, bouncing around reception at times, but before long its bed time...

Just before I head to bed I bump into Gena a French chick I met back in Bangkok which was a lovely surprise as I was fond of her and didn't get her facebook... She's off to Hanoi next, so hopefully see her there... Book the hostel to Vang Vien online, and I'm off to beeeedski
