Day 33 - Shopping in Bariloche

Hola
Today I have been spending money hand over fist. Well actually, spending pesos hand over fist. I have been going a long time without buying anything, and today I cracked and started shopping. It wasnt a frenzy of buying, as ive been known to do in the past (normally around Xmas time etc) but it was enough for me to have to sit down and buy a coffee afterwards.
It all stemmed from the bloody freezing weather here in Patagonia. Dont get me wrong - I absolutely love it. But I also absolutely loved the warm alpaca scarf i bought, and the walking shoes i bought and the new pair of silver earrings I bought.....
My justification is simple - everything is so cheap here in Argentina - that its my best place to shop! For example - a new pair of Puma walking shoes in Australia was $120AUD, and I bought a pair here for $120ARG pesos = $30AUD so its a bargain.
The shopping here is very nice, and also tempting as there are handmade chocolate shoppes on every corner (im not kidding) so its a temptation to walk down the street here without getting the wallet out.
Im having a great time!
Ciao Ciao

One of the 50 chocolate shops in Bariloche - no jokes!
