Ever get the feeling that the steak you are eating is too rare? Tonight we had a a fabulous dinner with our 2 newest travelling mates - Kirsten & Brendon from the gong (Wollongong) at a local parilla restaurant (bbq place).

If the service was anything to go by, this was a great place. The waiter didn´t write anything down, and bought us the obligatory basket of bread to fill up on before the main meal. Each of us ordered steak a different way, but all came out medium to very rare.

The steaks were tender, the red wine was good (except it was served hotter than the steak!) and the place was buzzing with people. We got through the steaks, which actually turned out to be brilliant, before all confirming that these were the rarest steaks we had ever eaten!

When in Rome i guess....
