Treated ourselves to a slow start this morning – today is another public holiday here and we are struggling to find what is open as they close nearly everything on public holidays and Sundays. We headed off to the Deutsches museum of Science and Technology and found it closed, so changed tack and went to the Egyptian antiquities museum. It was great and had a wide variety on display. The audio guide which was free tracked us and could tell us about what we were standing in front of. When we finished we realised we were right near the Lowenbrau Biergarten so we headed there to test it out and were not disappointed. Ian found a new beer which he really liked. Caught the U Bahn to the Englisher Garten where we went for a wander. These gardens are done in English style, hence the name and are bigger than Central Park. Saw the Chinese tower and the Monopteros and meandered home in the dark.
