The beach at Hoi An - sandbags and stakes but OK

The beach at Hoi An - sandbags and stakes but OK

Happy birthday Rex🍻.  Today was a resorty sort of day. We organised a couple of housekeeping things and then caught the bus to the beach. Rather interesting!  Much of the beach has been washed away by monsoon resulting in a large cutaway to go to the swimming part, with a lot of sandbags between the sandy part of beach and the swimming area - and holding the sandbags in place are some bamboo stakes that look rather scary.  The temperature of the water was great but we gave up on it after a while and went to the resort across the road and had a swim in the pool. In the afternoon we sorted some clothes and shoes - as you do in Hoi An (using we loosely here, really mean me). We then went for a walking tour of the city discovering many of the historic houses that exist here and just enjoying the sights. Another nice tea out.
