Today was a very relaxed day and I'm always surprised at how tired you can get from doing very little. We started the day late and went by the Foreign Correspondents Club, The club was very reminiscent of colonial style and we whiled away a bit of time there playing pool on a beautiful old table. I went for a walk alone and managed to cross the road all by myself - that doesn't sound much but it is a fair feat. From there we went to the dock where we boarded our boat for Chau Doc. We left our guide Hue (How) in Phnom Penh. The boat was only for our group and we spent a restful afternoon (about 6 hours) sitting watching the Mekong River go by. Accommodation this evening is the most upmarket we have had and very old world colonial, where we went for a swim in the pool overlooking the river, and then had an exceptional meal! Our first night in Vietnam!
