Headed off to Muckross house for a tour. This house has a claim to fame that Queen Victoria visited in 1861. Inside it is grand without being ornate. It actually felt quite comfortable - I could cope with this! We got to go through all the owners areas as well as the servants area. To finish off we had a tour of the grounds in a horse and buggy. The house and the grounds were donated to the state in 1932. We the followed the Ring of Kerry round to Sneam where we stopped for a pub lunch and watched a game of Irish football. I could quite get into these forms of football, as both the matches we watched were close and pub crowds were really enjoying it which made the atmosphere.
