Looking into Blarney Castle - the stone kissing is happening at the top opposite

Happy birthday Dad !! Woke up this morning to no noise, as we are in the country and our first cool morning. Headed for Blarney and must admit I was impressed by the castle. It was much bigger and more interesting than I had expected. Ummed about kissing the stone but in the end went with it - probably only here once. We then headed for Cobh which was the old port for Cork and toured their heritage centre. It was all about the port and the Irish that all left from there, due to the famine, the wars, migration and the fact that that was the last place the Titanic docked. Then to Midleton and the Jameson Brewery which is where all their whiskey is distiller and Ian got to have a go as a tester at the end of the tour - and a certificate to prove it! Ended in Dublin for the night.
