Went touring again and this time to Neuschwanstein. The tours here are done by train so it's basically just turn up on the day and pop on the train with your guide. This makes them quite cheap - not much more than the train travel itself! Our guide this time was Kevin from our Segway and again he was informative and interesting. I really enjoyed the castle - it was one of the things I wanted to see before I left. The hike up the hill (ok mountainside) was a bit taxing, and the views from the bridge excellent. Felt a bit sorry for mad King Ludwig II. On our return we discovered the second biggest beer garden in the world - literally. It also had an awesome bier kellar! As you can probably tell we are quite appreciative of the beer here. Bavaria brews the majority of German beer. (Extra photos on gallery)
