We started the day with a Segway tour of Florence. What a hoot. Ian wants to buy one. Rolled around checking out all the main sights and getting details on the history of the place. Great way to start. Then spent some time in the Uffuzi museum checking out Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael and many other masters. Then went off to explore the Ponte Vecchio which was amazing with all its beautiful jewellery stores, most no wider than a corridor. Then made our way up to Piazza Michelangelo and the church above it for the most spectacular view of Florence and had a bottle of red (which we bought at a a Gelateria?) sitting on the steps admiring the view. Went into the church to listen to the Gregorian chant which was very interesting. Rained on us briefly but the rest was all sunny.
