Today was a day of steps. We reckon we did about 1500 of them and a couple of kms walking as well. The majority of it was up to the cupola at the top of St Peters. Worth every step. We also toured the Basilica and the Vatican museum and Sistine chapel. All was excellent and interesting. Ian is in awe that beer is sold everywhere - even in sandwich carts on the roadside. I struggle with the sales technique of walking up and the offering of wares, but presume I will get used to it.
