Decided on the hop on, hop off bus and over the course of the day had a tour of the Colosseum (Flavian amphitheatre), spent a couple of hours at the Forum and finished with an audio tour of Castel Sant'Angelo. This was as well as doing the whole bus circuit. My favourite was Castel Sant'Angelo as the building was really interesting and the audio tour was excellent. Have done a lot of walking around and have not yet been run over despite the mad traffic and usually looking the wrong way first. Amazed by the number of smart cars (& minis) and how they park.
